People like us
A simple phrase, three short words which to most people don’t mean much but in the right context at the right time just might be the most important three words anyone has ever said to me.
To no longer be ‘people like me’ or, worse, ‘people like you’ but to be ‘people like us’ is a profound change in outlook, it signifies a level of understanding, of knowing, of being that is fundamentally different.
People like us, to most people this means nothing but to me it’s everything.
